About the venue

The Changi Exhibition Centre (CEC) is located in Singapore and spans 30 hectares. The venue is situated in the northern part of Singapore, with the Changi Air Base (East) located just outside its perimeter fence. Originally intended for an Asian aviation airport, Reed Exhibitions invested in the site in 2007 to establish the Changi Exhibition Centre. In 2008, the Singapore Airshow was held at the CEC. Located on Aviation Park Road, the 30-hectare site has the potential for future expansion into the Singapore Changi Airport. The exhibition hall boasts a total gross floor area of 42,500 square meters, divided into three halls, each featuring a ground floor and a mezzanine. The three halls are arranged in a continuous H-shaped layout, comprising Hall 1A (17,300 sqm), Hall 1B (3,200 sqm), and Hall 1C (17,000 sqm), offering a combined exhibition area of 33,340 square meters. The centre also features nine fully-equipped function rooms ranging in size from 65 sqm to 330 sqm, covering a total of 1,753 square meters. The mezzanine level provides an additional 5,000 square meters of space. The CEC's outdoor exhibition space includes a front plaza and an additional outdoor space of 259 square meters, encompassing a total of 100,000 square meters. As the production company behind the hit modeling series (Asia's Next Top Model Cycle 5), Fox Networks Group Asia was tasked with creating a unique fashion shoot for the show's sponsor, Subaru. We had to suspend each model from a giant construction crane at least 10 stories high; the contestants had to pose gracefully on swings while Subaru cars performed dangerous stunts directly beneath them. To achieve this shoot, we required an exceptionally large and flexible venue capable of accommodating massive setups and unusual requirements. We were thrilled to use the Changi Exhibition Centre, which proved to be an ideal location for the shoot.
