About the venue
Founded in 1956, the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Stadium is located on Gongyuan Road in Nanning, the capital of Guangxi. The stadium covers an area of 62,390 square meters. The football and track-and-field ground features ten standard synthetic tracks and a football pitch. Inside the stadium, there is a rostrum seating over 600 people and spectator stands with a capacity of 30,000. It is equipped with fully functional audio control facilities, four standard light towers, and a power distribution room, making it the first football and track-and-field stadium in Guangxi to have lighting facilities for training and competitions. In addition, the stadium has an indoor swimming arena, two outdoor swimming pools, and a children's swimming pool, capable of hosting high-level aquatic training and competitions.
Since its completion, as a stadium with relatively complete facilities in the capital of Guangxi, it has always been one of the preferred venues for hosting major international and domestic sports competitions and significant social celebratory events in the region. The famous 4th National Traditional Games of Ethnic Minorities and the opening ceremonies of the internationally renowned 1st to 4th Nanning International Folk Song Arts Festivals were all held here. The vast majority of the opening ceremonies and sports events of previous Guangxi Regional Games have also taken place here.
