Introduction to the Three Revolutions Exhibition in Pyongyang, North Korea

The Three Revolutions Exhibition in Pyongyang, North Korea, is a museum located in the Sosong District of Pyongyang, the capital of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, displaying materials related to the "Three Revolutions" advocated by Kim Il-sung. Established in 1993, it consists of halls such as the Electronic Industry Hall, New Technology Innovation Hall, Light Industry Hall, Heavy Industry Hall, and Agriculture Exhibition Hall. According to the North Korean state media, the Korean Central News Agency, the predecessor to the Three Revolutions Exhibition was the Democratic Construction Exhibition founded in 1946, which was used for hosting exhibitions. After the Korean War, industrial and agricultural exhibitions were also held at the Democratic Construction Exhibition. In 1989, under the directive of Kim Jong-il, the Democratic Construction Exhibition was reconstructed into the Three Revolutions Exhibition. Consequently, the Three Revolutions Exhibition held events commemorating its 70th anniversary in 2016, for which the Workers' Party of Korea issued a congratulatory message to the exhibition. Additionally, during the 2007 inter-Korean summit, a 49-member special entourage dispatched by South Korean President Roh Moo-hyun visited the exhibition.
